gif images won't load on IE

From Internet Explorer, gif images won't load on websites( not specific one, but just all)

I've tried to reinstall IE but that didn't work.

This has nothing to do with security( I don't have firewall enabled) and I have no idea how this happened.

It seems Netscape is working find with loading images, it's just Explorer that I'm having problems with.

Please let me know if any of you know the solution to this problem.

Open internet options in control panel and click on the advanced tab. Ensure that the "Show Pictures" box is ticked in the multimedia section.

what are your system specs
what version of ie are you running
some versions of gif's are used for animation have you any spyware on "blocking animations"
