    Hello.

I just got done ending some Trojans and AdWare on my mom's computer (Acer Aspire 5050 w/ Vista OS). It was the hijacking virus on google searches. (I pasted websites directly in the address to bypass it) I managed to get online with eset.com/online-scanner and am good now. (Not to mention also having run SAS, CCleaner, ATFCleaner, MBam, TDSSKiller, & msert)

The firewall and proxy settings are no longer automatically reverting to off. But when I go to explore the C: folder, the program files (& x86 program files, etc.) are no longer there. Instead there is one BAK file called, "BOOTSECT". Is there a way to tell this computer to see those folders? Also, my desktop had some files and shortcuts which are all now gone. I see the same names of them still there when doing the AntiVirus scans. But, when I search files and folders for the same names, it comes up empty. Is there a quick fix? Should I take this chance and run with the ball and get Win7?

    Thank you very much! Jason
