GIMP Installation Problem

    Can someone walk me through installing GIMP.

    The free windows version is found here..... http://sourceforge.net/projects/gimp-win/

    Download both the GTK file and GIMP. You must install the GTK file before the GIMP program. If you have installed the GIMP already, remove, and then install GTK before GIMP. Hope that helps..

    There is a whole list of stuff there. Which one do you get?? I clicked one and got whole other list of stuff! Why don't they make clear instructions??

    OK.
    I downloaded the program. Installed it. It won't work. It gives me a stupid error box but doesn't say what the error is!

    Now I'm getting an error message to reply to this message! It says my reply is too short! I've had enough of the stupid error messages!!!
