Gimp

Has anyone ever heard of this program? I was searching ebay to see what I could find and ran across it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3603801965&category=185

It's only $8 plus $6 for shipping so it wouldn't be a huge waste of money if it didn't work.....but by the same token, that would be a tank of gas for the car or dinner for 2 nights....

 

Free is good. Real good. Any idea where I can find it? Wonder if it is here?

 

Well, that did it! You've confused the heck out of me now!

Do I just download the Stable version? Will that work with windows XP? Or do I need to go to the GIMP for Windows page and download all of those files? On that page, they list about 34 different files!

And on the downloads page, if I select the US mirror site, it opens an ftp page with 20 files on it including one called Win32. I would assume I need all of those and the should be a file in there to install it?


I'll set up a new folder in my download section and try them...

hahahaa I went back and started to download just the first file called binary. It said it would take 6 days and 19 hours. And there was still 19 files to go. I canceled that one quick. Think I will skip that one. If I really wanted it, the time would be well worth buying it off ebay.

Guess I will keep looking around til I find something better.

 

So I went and downloaded the free 'try before you buy' PSP7. Now what the heck do I do with it? I'm about as confused as I think I have ever been.

I want to design some stationery with it. I know it's possible but I can't figure it out! I have something called 'dragonborder' that I want to use as a border along the left edge of the document. Whenever I open it with PSP, it sits right in the middle and I can't move it. I don't know how to tile it. Maybe I should just go wash up a few dishes.....I'm feeling kinda dumb right now..........
