Glary Utilities

If I ad bad reg key by hand and mass up the system can Glary Utilities fix it?

I'm afraid that it is impossible to formulate an answer here; based on the vagueness of your question (I mean, without knowing exactly which registry key was altered, etc.).

Utility software programs such as: Glary Utilities, CCleaner and/or Eusing Free Registry Cleaner; which all claim to be able to fix registry errors; might do the trick for you here - who knows.

However, if the "bad reg key by hand" was made recently, I'd try a using the Windows system restore utility first; going back to a restore point which was created before the bad registry alteration was made.

Side Note: Incidentally any time you decide to alter the registry "by hand" in the future is it always a good idea to initially "create a system restore point" first before making any changes.

That way if something goes disastrously wrong; you can always restore your system back the way it was before - just prior to any alterations.

This is what I did
Just my Autoplay window will not open when I connect my Canan SD1,000 Camara into the USB Port. I had it setup the first time to Auto Import photos to the Desktop and it was working. Then it stoped and I had to right click the CAM icone and click import photos and then it worked.


I left it as is for a long time but then I thought I would try to fix it and even if I put As Me Every Time in the import photos in the Autoplay box it never worked the Autoplay box never opens again for me to set it up again.


So I tryed editing the registry I set HEX value to 0x00000091 in NoDriveTypeAutoRun. This was in the

hkey local machine/software/microsft/windows/currentverson/polices/explorer

and I when to do the same thing for


hkey current user/software/microsft/windows/currentverson/polices/explorer

but the thing in this Key was it only had

Currentverson and when I clicked the + next to it Polices and Explorer both came down with no + next to them so I had to right click Polices and make new Key called Explorer and then do the same thing with the HEX code and NoDriveTypeAutoRun name.


Please forgive the Spelling.


Anyway I have no Restore ones and this thing with the Autoplay has been going on for a long time.


I thought something could take all the Hkeys I did out and bring my system back to the Start?????
