glitch after cleaning

While using Major Geeks malware removal instructions "Read & Run Me First" to fix problems on a second machine (success! Thanks so much!), I followed the link to the note "Dealing with Startup Processes", which explains "How to deal with startup processes - do not use MSconfig".

Well, on my main machine I've been using msconfig and Anvir Task Manager to control some pesky startups, so I resolved to do it right, per that post. I went into msconfig and changed it back Normal Startup mode, and I removed all the startup controls from Anvir, then used Spybot S&D to de-select the stuff I don't (think I) need to have starting up.

I made some other cleanup moves with Spybot S&D, too.

Now when I log in to my account on this machine, I get two dialog boxes that come up and won't go away until I use Task Manager to knock them out.

One of them is very short: Its title is "DocumentViewer", and its message is "Please wait while Windows configures DocumentViewer", and it has a "Close" button that doesn't close it -- or the button does close the box, but the box comes right back. Doesn't matter how many times I click.

The second box shows up a little later in the login process: Its title is "Microsoft .NET Framework", and the first part of it says

"An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.

"Object reference not set to an instance of an object."

Below that is a "Continue" button, and a vertically-scrollable window with the text I'm pasting below. Again, these won't go away no matter how many times I click their buttons -- can only be killed off with task manager. Any suggestions for fixing or diagnosing? Thanks so much! Try the registry cleaner in cCleaner, I've seen where that has helped others.

Also, from the startup tools in cCleaner, can you post a picture of your startup items, (don't use cCleaner to mange these though)>
