    I use Gmail.

Recently, I came across horror stories about getting locked out of Gmail accounts, loss of data and delays in Google not responding to calls for help expeditiously.

The same article also suggested using Gmail Backup, a free software to backup ones webmail (gmail-backup.com).

Is this system/software a Google-supported or approved application?
    How safe is it?
Has it been tested and is it approved by MajorGeeks?
If not, how does MajorGeeks suggest that webmail be backed up?

Thank you in advance to whoever replies.

    Cheers! :) :wave

You can also just use something like Thunderbird or Outlook and connect to gmail via POP3 and download your messages to your desktop/laptop.
