Gmail becoming a pain!

    Greetings~
    FYI I have posted my issue with gmail, but they don't promise to reply, just maybe...Hmmm.
    Just in the past several days out of the blue, gmail stalled forever when trying to check email. It was suggested to try the basic HTML which I am using otherwise I wouldn't be able to open my mail!!! I cleaned the computer just in case, CC, SB, Super Antispyware, Malware, all good. That didn't change the no-load issue. I use IE 7. Any ideas? I'm a novice when troubleshooting so I'm stuck while waiting to hopefully hear back from gmail.:(

    Have you tried it with another browser? (ie, firefox / opera?)

    Hi---I use Firefox and IE7---every now and then G mail just plain old is slow and will not open in either browser---not often---but often enough to be a tiny bit irritating---my computer is clean as a whistle and all defragged, etc.--( I follow all the guidelines in MajorGeeks )----so am pretty sure it is just G mail---:)

    Thanks...it just came back to operating as usual. I was scared there for a bit, thinking I had some horrible virus or something.....I just hate it when that happens, but now I will be more patient!

    Seems as late Gmail and Google are having server issues, so the more this becomes popular then the more likelyhood this will happen more often, which its then advisable to have a backup online email provider, maybe Hotmail, Yahoo Mail etc, which your contacts know than if ever Gmail goes down you may contact them on that one.
