I have several groups in my contact list. Suddenly, when I wish to forward an email, the dropdown arrow next to my contacts does not work so my groups do not show. Any thoughts? Thank you

Do you think you provided enough information? rolleyes I think we need to know what email program you are using. Are you using an email client such as Outlook, Windows Live Mail, Thunderbird, etc., or are you using a webmail (accessing your email via web browser) approach for your email? If the latter, is it gmail, Yahoo! Mail, an ISP account, or what?

Duh! Sorry I am so stupid!! Am using the web to access my Gmail. This happens if I use Chrome or IE. Sorry

Sorry, I should have realized you were using gmail by your title. Wasn't thinking.

I have a gmail account but have not used Groups in Contacts very much. I'm not clear on the dropdown arrow you mentioned. Can you provide a screen shot or describe exactly where you see it?

Sure. Here it is. When I click on the arrows next to My contacts (at the top left), nothing happens. Ugh!

Well, it happens, i.e. does not work, for me in Opera but it works in IE10. This is on my laptop running Windows 8. With Opera, clicking on that button does nothing. But, if I simply open a new message composition panel in Opera and, rather than click on To to open the Contacts list, just start typing a Group name in the To box, the Group list will appear in a popup box and I can select the Group. This works in IE10 too.

So, why that button does not work for you in either of the two browsers you mentioned or for me in Opera is an issue I don't have an answer for. For the benefit of other members who may have a suggestion, what OS are you using and what version of IE?

OS is windows 7. IE version is 9. Thanks for the suggestion. Will check to see if it works for me
