   I have unfortunately clicked on "remember me on this computer" and now my partner cannot get into his Gmail. Is there anyway this can be reversed so we can both access our email accounts separately without closing down one or other of them.

   Try clearing your cookies and browser cache. Then go to gmail and see if you are signed in.
   If that didn't help, first logout. Then put this in your browser address
   https://www.google.com/accounts/Ser...z&ss=1&scc=1&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2&hl=en
   and remove the checkmark/tick from stay signed in.
