gmail

When I try to access my gmail account it always vies me a error.

Nothing ever shows up on the page. It works at my friend's house so I think its my internet explorer that's messed up. Anyone got any ideas?

 

Hey, I kinda have a similar problem. When I try to log on my gmail account it redirects it to a blank page. It didn't do that before. I just want to know what's up? Can anyone help?

 

just got into mine just fine. what browser are you using?

my browser is IE5. So do you have any suggestions?

 

What browser version does your friend use? If IE 6, maybe you should also upgrade to IE 6.
If they use IE 5, then I am out of ideas. Bazza

I have Windows XP Pro: Service Pack 2, IE 6 Service pack 1 and am having the same problem

 

disable your firewall if you have one. had to do that for comcast mail before i got it straightend out. Hope that does something.

 

I do have my firewall disabled. Everything was working fine on my machine until I got a aim virus. I removed it right away, but now I still can't access my gmail or hotmail (if I try their webpage and not use outlook).

 

Don't run too long without your firewall, otherwise you will get a hell of a lot more problems from other nasties. Baz

usually when it gmail does that to me i just have to empty out my temp internet files, and it works fine after that.

Well, an interesting thing just happened. I shutdown my computer in safe mode with networking and was able to access my gmail account fine. So, while under the administrator account, I created a new user name. Logged on this new name and now I can access my gmail account just fine. Would anyone know why my other name won't let me log on...what could have happened? It still won't let me access my gmail on my other name, meaning I still get the same ol error on the "old" username.

 

did you go to internet options and clean all that out?

Sure did...I usually do that once to twice a week.
