God Help Me

ok i have a really big issue my computer is running on a like house link system or w/e not sure if that has anything to do with it but i made a new user by mistake kind of and now i can only log onto that one user and under that user i dont have administrater pirvalegs like i cant change settings or pull up control pannel i really need to get my administrative privalges back what do i do

What OS are you running? If XP, when you get to the login window, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE twice and the Admin log in window should pop up.

No...you didn't do it at the right point. Reboot your PC. When you come to the Windows XP initial login screen and it only gives you the new UA you just created to log in as, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE twice. Then a different login screen as Administrator will appear.

 

i got to the log in thing it said john naybor (the user i created) and i clicked ctrl+alt+delete twice and then this thing just poped up and said windows xp log in and i couldnt make a new one or long in on a different one

 

OK...you need to type in the user name of the administrator account, followed by the password. So if the account you were using before that had administrator priviledges was John Doe, for example, that is the user name you need to type in at that point, and it's corressponding password.
