Godfather White background

When I play the Godfather, the cut scenes work fine and the characters are fine. But the background(buildings, detail) are all white. When you go into a building, you sometimes can't see other door, stairs etc. I assume this is my video card, but I downloaded the latest update. What else can I do and has anyone had this problem? Do I need to buy something new? Thanks

I have:
pentium M 1.6ghz
directx 9.0
intel 82852/55 GM/GME graphics controller

 

Not heard of this issue with this game before. Have you tried reinstalling? Have you had similar problems with games that require the same minimum system specs?
