Everybody uses control panel at some point in computer activity. Some more than others. Some use the 'god mode' shortcut to all control panel items. In either case it takes a few clicks or typing or scrolling to get to the item you need. I have found the file involved before by searching and finding the items in the windows directory, and making a shortcut saved to the desktop. I recently found in the 'godmode' you can rightclick and a choice appears to 'copy' or 'create shortcut'. The neat thing is it isn't created where you are at that time but instead places it on the desktop. Example - I just created shortcut to ramdon items- "view archived messages (about computer problems)" -"set up computer to use multiple moniters" -"check security issues". All now have easy icons on the desktop. If you find yourself going to the same few places often it makes it quick and easy to get there. Some item suck as 'task manager' and 'show startup items' go to the same place because as in taskmanager there are multiple tabs.
