If you have GodMode on your PC, did you create it manually or use a utility to create it for you?

Hey Eldon. Yeah I have it. Actually 3 different ways on this pc. One I made manually, One I used a utility few years back. One I created recently with an app described as for Win10, but it works on this 8.1. Have never compared to see if any differences.

I have used it but I don't see the point. It all so depends on which version of windows you need it for.

    It works for Windows Vista (32-bit only), 7, 8.x & 10, 32-bit & 64-bit.

There is no GodMode for Windows XP.
I tried it and it doesn't work. Have you tried it?

Yes it is not God Mode per say.

It is just a collection of files and folders for XP.It's more like a quick search option. You know like finding the software faster. It's all in one place instead of being Scattered.

No, but I wish I could get it on most FPS games as the older I get the harder the Bosses are to beat. In fact I have given up on two games:confused::)

You're confusing God Mode for games with GodMode for Windows.
The latter allows you access to over 200 settings all from one location.

I should have been more clear in my opening post but didn't know there's a God Mode for games.

That's where the expression is originally coming from :)

I was a little struggling but then I decided to vote for No because currently I don't have it activated. I did it on some earlier PCs though. It's rather seldom that I need it. Only if I don't know exactly where a certain setting can be found I used it (last time maybe two or three years ago). Imho it's not worth to setup a 3rd party tool. The folder trick with name
    x.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
(where you could use anything else for the x because it will disappear anyway) is quite common. But to be honest I wouldn't even do that anymore from today's perspective. I just google God Mode to get the GUID and then write shell:::{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C} in a Run box ([Windows]+[R]) or in the address bar of an Explorer window.

I do have GodMode on the Desktop but never use it.
I started this thread after noticing another tool (7 in total) on MajorGeeks to create GodMode.
And these utilities are relatively big.
And it can be done with a batch file of just 105 bytes.

In all honesty I have a program called Advance system care that basically does the same thing you are asking GOD mode to do,The Program is way more efficient than the God mode way.

Time was you didn't use it on 64 bit. Wound up booting with a Linux live CD to get it off the Windows partition. Haven't used it since.

"GodMode" is an Explorer list view providing all the categories for the different settings you might need. It does nothing by its own. And it's not meant to change any setting automatically. The only purpose is to let you find a certain setting more easily. Why should efficiency matter then?
Advanced SystemCare is not even comparable to what "GodMode" is for.

    Yes i know this.

ASC is a One click option and it does the same thing. If you have not tried ASC as of yet,It has more tools to work with and more options that God Mode can't provided.
