Going crazy slowly am I!

okay here's the story. We are running some 98 machines and some xp machines on our NT network. xp's seem fine but 98's are having "hiccups" someone can be on their machine, walk away for a few minutes and when they return they have been booted out. When they log back in a message says the domain is not available or the password they are suppling is not correct. However, if you retry 3 or 4 times is lets you in. Then it happens to someone else. Today I had 6-8 people with this problem all finally got in.

Could this be a DNS issue??

 

okay well I have answered my own quetion. It was DNS but in 98 it is winsoc
