Gone fishin

Alot of extra time on my hand these days ...
So here are a couple of shots of my favorite hole..
And no I did not catch a darn thing and still had a blast

That would be a hybrid bass (vibrant greens and yellows with white belly with thick dark stripes) They hit like a freight train and are awesome later in the year for topwater average is 2-4 lbs nice and fat but not stupid.
There are some monster catfish along with it being one of the best crappie lakes in CA during breeding season.

Nah seriousley I use alot of lures, buzz,topwater,flasher,etc.. I am all over the lake constantly changing (fat lot of good it does me:-D:-D

I am going back Monday after the rains pass thru

Looks a lot like Lake Casitas in Oak View, (Ventura County) used to go there a lot, never caught anything there either but just being there was great.

 

do you go for crawfish? I swear I'm going to get there and ride a river boat before I die.

 

Get out sea fishing. That's where the real men go.

 

Not big on the crawfish Darlene. They are good, but it is too much work to get one little bite of food! That or I just don't know how to get the meat out right!

Look into this, is a lot closer to you! http://www.crawdadfestival.org/ I was there one year. Some crazy person tried to break into my hotel room. Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson convinced him he was trying to get in the wrong room. :-D

 

OMGosh, never heard of it and I have been on the river boat there also. When Dan was working his company had an awards dinner on the boat. Dan and I were the only sober ones on board and wanting to get off but kept watching the dock pass again and again.

Wow they tried to break in while you were in the room huh? Scary!
