Not sure how describe this. I have tons of software that wants to load on start up with very sluggish boot times. Is there an app which could help me identify both running processes, and programs that load at startup, which will help me decide what I can safely remove from automatic launching? Also, I really don't know exactly how to stop the ones I don't need running all the time.

    Thanks everyone.

And if you want something a little smaller, I can recommend StartupMonitor and Startup Control Panel by Mike Lin. http://www.mlin.net/
I install both on all my computers.

Or, just : START, RUN, then type in: msconfig (press enter). Click continue if using vista with UAC turned on.

Click the startup tab then uncheck the items you don't want to start. Simple No need to download anything. :)
