good deal?

Just in the process of looking for a new pc and saw this deal on at PC World:

I am currently at college and so that deal basically has everything im going to be looking for.

It looks like a good deal to me but i could use a more experienced opinion from someone who has more knowledge of pc's than me.

 

I looked up the components on newegg and added them up. You could build a pc with the same stats as this one for £310 or there abouts. If you wanted to spend £600 you could get a hell of a lot better components.

the thing is i was looking for a ready-built pc as i have no idea what i am doing when it comes to building pc's or changing parts etc....

 

Either did I, I just finished building my first one. It took some time, but there's a great deal of folks here who helped me out when i got stuck. There are a number of step by step guides out on the net as well. Another option is to have a computer savey friend/family member put it together. Some of the local PC techs in my area will put everything together for $50 if you have everything.

I suggest learning how to build a pc. I learned so much. Now I understand how computers work and am able to troubleshoot them much more effectively.
