Good MP3 Splitting Software?

I have tried various MP3 Splitting shareware (registered) utilities and they completely failed to split a 2.5 hour MP3 that I have from a talk radio program. I would like to split it into 10 minute chunks (or so). I do not have any cue sheet so I can't use a program like albumwrap (obviously). Can anyone recommend a good program?

I am not sure if they include lame_enc.dll now, but you will need that to encode mp3's. Its very easy to find.

 

I actually have Audacity as well as the lame_enc.dll file but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to use it to split up the file. Can you give me basic instructions? I think I already looked at the "manual" but didn't find much help. Thanks!

Very straightforward and easy to use... I use it to edit my mp3's into ringtones.... Let me know if you need any help operating it... You pretty much just copy the portions of the mp3 you want to break up, and copy and paste it to a new file, which you can save and do whatever you want with....

 

that does look like a more involved way of doing it, otherwise I just manually delete the part of the file i dont want and save the selection i choose as a new file... but in your case that might take a looong time. I'd try what you linked to.
