I am looking to find a good legitimate pay per download program. I have Sharezaa running downloading stuff (songs I already have mind you, mostly old stuff on tape). I have Sony Soundstage installed but it seems odd that you have to burn to CD then dump the song back onto your computer for mp3 format that is recognizable by other music players.

It seems Napster needs a credit card up front. I know is on the up-and-up, but I would rather just pay as I dowload. What other ones are out there?

    Thanks.

Napster and iTunes both have pre-paid download cards that you can get from Walmart, Best Buy, and Barnes & Noble. I think Media Play was carrying them too, but I'm not sure.

I use Musicmatch. It is okay...pay as you go...99 cents a song. The files are saved as WMA. I can play them with Winamp instead of Musicmatch. You have to have Musicmatch loaded in order to play the songs and can only play the songs on 3 (I think) computers. You can burn to CD's. I don't like how they always want you to upgrade from the basic Musicmatch program to the Pro version.

I use iTunes, the only reason is it works well with my ipod though
