Okay guys, I've tried the Google Chrome site, but now it's time to ask the true tekkies. I have noticed that when I delete history, Chrome has begun adding "My Name"-PC to history. That would not be a huge problem except I cannot delete them. As of this post, Google Chrome has listed four of these. They're listed, 14 mins ago, 23 mins ago, 57 mins ago and 23 hrs ago.

I've deleted Chrome three times and reinstalled but cannot get rid of those entries.

    I'm on Vista Ultimate 64.

I confess to being a conspiracy theorist, it seems Chrome has marked this site as malicious. As I was downloading Iobit anti-malware, Chrome decided to warn me of potential harm from Majorgeeks.

As I think about it, I had previously downloaded the anti-malware, but by not being careful may have allowed Chromes' warning to tag it as a threat. There seems to be no other explanation as to why I had to download it again.
This is relevant because, aside from dropping Chrome altogether, I want to cover all bases in finding a fix to the history deletion problem.

CCleaner didn't work. I'm holding out hope for a solution because I have so many favorites on Chrome and I'm not sure I can/should transfer them to another browser.

Thanks for the suggestions, but I'm done with Chrome.

I've used Palemoon for years: http://www.palemoon.org/

If you like Chrome's UI, you might want to try Firefox. They've changed their look and I've heard some say it looks more like Chrome.

I'm not a fan of it either and some suspect practices they have also on data protection so while I do have it installed on a test PC I don't use it in general much prefer IE11 or Firefox Nightly (a test version of Firefox but damn good).

But browsers are a unique personal preference and none are better or worse than each other, yes all have security risks but major risk from malware is the user and what they download via a browser than the actual browser itself!

All comes down to UI and do you like its look and usability?

Two ways to delete those files:
    1. Install Move on Boot http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/emco_moveonboot.html
it will delete the files which might be locked after you reboot. Once you install it, it will add a right-click menu so you right click the item you want gone and select delete.
    2. Run a linux live distro. When everything I threw at a 0 byte file refused to delete it, I fired up Porteus, a small distro recommended by someone. I was able to locate the file and delete it in linux with no problem.
