Google Chrome Vanished

Well, sort of.

So I'm playing Fallout 3, need some info so minimize the game and open up my browser.
Done this many many times, this time as I'm browsing the wikki fallout site my PC locks up 100%. Couldn't even move the mouse.
No biggie I thought, rebooted.

Opened Google Chrome and it had been set back to original install, meaning ALL my favs are gone, my skin is gone and everything I set up.
Went to check the install folder and the prog is there but all the above has been deleted. Not into the recycle bin.
All the is left is my history, temps and install files.

Very very odd, any ideas at all?

OS: Win 7 Ultimate build 7200 (32 bit)
