I just read this article about Google DNS. I'm assuming this a service similar to Comodo DNS, right? I read the article, looked at the graphs, but didn't see Google DNS on any of the graphs unless it's named something else.... can anyone clear this up? Is Google DNS the same as Comodo DNS? If not, what's the difference, and what's the point, and how would someone use Google DNS? Also, where is Google DNS on the graphs? How does any of this affect me or the average (or above/below average) web surfer? I use Comodo DNS fairly regularly when surfing (probably 90% of the time; it occasionally blocks legit sites so I turn it off sometimes) and have noticed absolutely NO slowdown or web lag....

    THX!

From what I can tell they just seem to be different DNS servers that you can use. The setup should be the same as this guide for Comodo DNS just change the IPs to Google's DNS (http://www.comodo.com/secure-dns/switch/windows_xp.html).

Using a faster DNS server means your browser will connect to the website faster. I like to run DNS Benchmark from Gibson Research (http://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm) to compare to other DNS servers to determine if my DNS server is slow or not.
