Google Earth setup

i keep trying to load google earth
ive gone to the help forum, and trying dif things but its all the same
it always comes up

error number: 0x80020003
description: member not found

setup will terminate

anyone got any advice?

oh yeah and someone on there (the help forum at google) had this exact problem too, but his fix didnt work

You have Administrative privileges?
You tried installing in Safe Mode?
You have the newest version of Windows Installer?

how do i check that i have the latest version of windows installer?

If you want to check the version of the Windows Installer on your system, check the version of MSI.DLL in the Windows\System 32 folder. If the version is 3.1.4000.2435, you have the latest version.

If you find that the version of MSI.DLL on your system is not 3.1.4000.2435, the easiest way to get to the newest version is to go to Windows Update and download the update.

If you have the newest version and have tried all of the above I am at a loss as to a solution.

DOH!

i think i found out wht i was doing wrong....
i was trying to run the beta 4 when i went and tried the stable version 3 it worked fine

make any sense?

beta...a 4 letter word!
I would love to try out a lot of the beta software available, but this is the only computer I have and I don't want to risk 'messing it up' as some beta products can. I absolutely HATE reinstalling my OS.

i Did It By:
ticking Custom Instead of Complete
And Then I Changed The Directory
