    Hi,

If anyone uses Google Groups, have you managed to post anything over the last couple of days. When I try, I get a message telling me that there is an error (no number) and suggesting I try later. However, the problem remains.

    Thanks

    Hi

Not had issues with it today but I don't use it a lot as I know google are more moving to google+ for social media type things. Sadly Google come up with some really good ideas and BETA them, then they become popular and weirdly then die!

    is the groups ok now?

Seems like from being with a friend this week and she was logging into gmail that it was touting google+ so would seem to me that they are pushing this social media aspect of google but do be warned as its too social http://www.theguardian.com/technolo...kes-it-possible-to-send-email-via-name-search

Opens the door for anyone searching your name to send spam!

and some info on how to disable this intrusive new option in Google http://www.theguardian.com/technology/2014/jan/10/google-plus-stop-gmail-users-emailing-you

Sadly Google is now becoming a menace for personal security and info, the amount of apps they have that where good are being merged with google + and creating a info nightmare.

    Thanks for the tips.

I notice with Yahoo Mail that there appears to be a problem with long scripts and these tend to freeze the page and the pc (probably fills my small memory). It is possible to turn off scripting, but then Yahoo Mail becomes a very basic classic.

This is a problem that I can't resolve - keeping a nice interface, but stopping long scripts).

    Best wishes.

One reason I tend to navigate away from browser email usage and tend to add email services to Outlook or similar (Thunderbird is good if not wishing to pay for Outlook)

Do also look into updating Adobe Flash and Sun Java as some sites use these media software's to run pages, so out of date ones can slow a page down at times.
