Google in English

I remember seeing this but can't find it. There are a couple of links you can use that force Google to stay at Google.com instead of going to whatever country you're in. You'd think Google would be international in its understanding of people traveling outside of their home country, but noooooo....

That does no longer work for me; the 'ncr' just disappears, and all contents is displayed in Japanese.

My solution: append 'hl=en' to every Google site:
http://www.google.com/?hl=en
http://translate.google.com/?hl=en
https://mail.google.com/?hl=en
etc.
