Google Mail - X

Hi,

We use Google mail at work and a few of my co-workers have had a "white X in a black box" show up directly under the date column in Google Mail. If you right click on it, you get choices like "translate, view page source, view element". Our IT doesn't know what it is or how to get rid of it (it blocks the google chat names) - anyone here know what this is or how it may have gotten on to their computers? Thanks.

 

That sounds like some kind of browser add-on. What browser are you (they) using?

Can you try to disable each add-on to find out which is causing it?

 

I believe that it is in Chrome as that is the browser where our intranet and email are accessed from. Sorry, I don't know how to disable an "add-on" :cry but I will ask someone at work if they know how. I'm sure that my co-worker doesn't know. Thank you.

USAFVeteran - this is EXACTLY what it is. Looks like they don't know either I will try using the labs=0 fix on my coworkers computer and see it it helps.
