    So you "installed" an app off Google Play using your Windows PC? I believe one of the steps... after you signed into Google, chose your app and clicked "install" was to select your device. So that app will be ready when you open up said device. The app is NOT installed on your Win PC.

    I've read about installing Android apps using Win 11 - but that's with Amazon Store, not Google Play.

    Thanks for taking time to reply, I did exactly as you said(except finding any request to name my device) even so can find no reference to the google play apps even though on google play it states Installed??? If so, I cannot find it and IM not a novice at this game, so under what heading do they store it???Plus as google states its installed, I do not get a second chance!! Regards caskin

    If you click on 'This app is available for your device' the name of the device will appear. The name(s) appearing will not include any Windows devices, they will be Android devices, usually phones or tablets..

    It did actually give me the option of PC which I took and to be honest for a short while there was a short cut on the desktop which opened the app.....however without any action on my part the short has disappeared and I have no idea where to find the download (checked them) as to where it is located. So download was successful, just a case of finding it!!!!!

    As already said, Windows computers cannot run Android apps without the help of an Android emulator. Bluestacks is just that - an Android emulator. I've never used Bluestacks myself so unable to help but hopefully someone else can and will.

    I keep my android stuff on my android devices. I, too, have not installed an emulator so I can't test.

    I can't help with the tv either. We don't own any smart tvs nor a firestick.

    Notice how all the apps on your Android phone just "show up" on your Windows PC, thanks to emulators like Blue Stack? But in the end, it's an emulator - so I suggest adding whatever new Android apps using your phone... and then your Blue Stack emulator should "bring it over" to your Windows PC. Just like all the Android apps you see on your Windows PC screen aren't really residing in your PC hard drive - I suspect you cannot add Android apps to the PC directly, either??

    @caskin

    Just had a quick look at BlueStacks on my laptop. Can't see much that would be of interest to me but if you open it up I suspect that's where you will find your two installed apps. Let me know.

    Seems thats the case,but still doesn't answer the question why did I have a short cut which opened the app and made it useable then as now it just disappeared????
