Google Search Doesn't Work

Google Search just stopped working on my daughter's computer. Google Images and Maps works. Bing search works. There is no browser hijack or redirect. The Google Search site opens fine. However, when I attempt to enter anything into the search bar and click, there is no response.

We have two other computers in the house (Windows 7), and Google Search works fine on them.

My daughter's computer runs Windows Vista. I ran a Norton scan, and that didn't fix this.

I also pinged Google via the command prompt, and there was no problem reaching the Google site.

Any suggestions?

 

what browser are you using? IE, firefox, Chrome?

 

This mysteriously fixed itself the next day.

It was happening on both Chrome and on Internet Explorer, by the way.
