When you do a google search, as you probably know, it puts sites you havent visited in blue and sites you have in purple. What I wanted to know is how it does this, for example does it remember your IP address? Or is it stored on your own PC?
I am asking because I just installed McAfee Site Advisor and tested it by trying a search on Free Screensavers. Two sites came up purple which I have never even been to?! Im curious as to why.
I borrowed this computer to someone a few months back who had it connected to the internet in their house (miles away) is it possible that they went to these sites or would there be a different IP address there?

This isnt a problem its just my curiousity getting the better of me again. Always want to know the answers to things!

    confused

Thanks for reply Halo, bet u get p`d off with answering all my questions! ;)

I thought that but I clear my cookies all the time. I use CCleaner every day and have Firefox clear my cookies when I close it? I could swear I have never been on this screensaver site but even after clearing my cookies its purple? strange!
