Got a question... need help please.

My laptop has a Intel Celeron M processor 380... I would like to know an equvilant (pentium 3... pentium 4... etc.). I wanna get a game for my dad and would like to know. Thanx in advance.

 

I am sure that you have about a 1.6 Ghz processor with about 400 FSB. 1 MB front side bus L2 Cache.
depending on yor gfx card , and game, your dad may or may not be able to run it.
If you have a decent card stuff can be played on less than 1ghz, or you could have a 3 ghz and a bad card and get knowhere. all about the gfx card.
A hundred bucks for a card and a 30 dollar game and your ready to play..even if it is at low res .

From the info I got... the clock speed is 1.6 ghz, the game is Pentium 4 1.2 GHz or 100% compatible processor

 

What gfx card do you have to work with, pc will clear , but a decent card will be needed to run the game as well..what game?

The game should run OK as long you have a slightly decent video card. If using on board video, you'll probably run into problems. I grabbed a used 64mb Geforce4 AGP card for only $4 at a yard sale awhile back and it works great. I'm not a gamer though, so I don't need major horsepower....
