If you give someone your email or ip, is it possible to get their home address?

Anything is possible in this world but you would have to be an exceptional hacker or working for the CIA, the vast majority of the populace could not possibly do it and there are sufficient counter measures to minimise such an occurance.

plus to add to Bold Eagles post above, as most if not all ISPs have blocks of IP addresses, ( unless you have a fixed IP address ), that are dynamic and just if reverse searched for hit the ISPs server bay and not your house, to find that your ISP would have to divulge that info.

eg. reverse lookup my IP address gets you London... only 250miles off as you will have hit my ISPs server ;)

Probably the worst threat to that would be "Social Engineers", folks adept at talking less than sharp ISP customer service folks out of information.

I would ask my ISP about their policies. What if someone calls up and has forgotten their password, what do they do?
