folding at home is a program which donates the idle time of your processor to the folding of proteins for scientific research. I am guessing you did not install this program,if you do not want it on there close the program and uninstall it

Yep thats definatley Folding@Home alright. If you didn't install it, do you know who did?

I might add that running Folding@Home won't degrade performance like spyware processes might, since it will always sacrifice power to ANY other process that requires it. i.e. if you are running a game, it will not stop it from using all the power it needs.

However, if you do want to uninstall it, I'd first ask the person who installed it to do it. If its the service, all you need to do is go to Run -> type "services.msc", find FAH@C+... etc. double click, change startup type to disabled. Restart.

So a search for FAH*.exe. Find the folder that the FAHConsole file is in, and delete the directory.
