Hi I built this computer everything is working fine but some games I'm constantly getting display crashes .. I've tried turning all defaults in Adrenalin but still happened tried uninstalling Adrenalin and only installing the drivers but was still happening. tried looking in bios but nothing really stood out to me as could be a factor things were defaulted.
Must admit this is my first PC build and not that knowledgeable on things but the GPU uses 3 pcie cables right ? (with all 8 slots used) I read online something about daisy chain now I'm wondering if its hooked up wrong and I'm missing the correct cable that i didn't know about on higher cards lol.

The screen will freeze for around 10-20 seconds then go blank then come back with the game crashing. Any thoughts?

    Hardware :
GPU : AMD RX 7900 XTX
    CPU : Ryzen 9 5900X
    PSU : Corsair RM1000e

I should also say some games i have no issues at all like I play world of warcraft no issues i play classic i get display crashes ... i play outriders no issues but if i play helldivers 2 I've been getting crashes at random times. I cant see the logic in the crashes and what causing them. there is nothing specific that seems to cause it there is no pattern. I have also run Heaven benchmark for a while to see if it was pressure on the card that was causing it then maybe it was power or something but didn't crash once.

When? That is, has it been crashing since day one?

The user guide for your graphics card (available on line too) will show you which power connections to use and the user guide for the PSU will show you which cable(s) to connect to the graphics card (and motherboard too).

Note too your symptoms could be caused by heat but you told us nothing about your case. Make sure you have good air flow through the case. This is typically configured for front-t0-back flow.

You need to monitor your temps. I use and recommend Core Temp to monitor CPU temps in real time. Under Options > Settings > Notification Area, I have mine set to display "Highest temperature" only.
