graphic card

    Im looking into getting a new laptop, ive look at 1 and the graphic card is:
    'NVIDIA G72M 256mb'

    I was wondering is this good or crap?

    I googled nvidia g72m and i can't find anything good on it if your into gaming.:rolleyes:

    i'd go with a nvidia 7900gto. they're basically a down clocked 7900gtx that can easily run at the gtx's specs.

    good gaming laptops can get really pricey, really fast. Most budget gamer laptops have an nvidia 6600 or x1600 which arent that great but will get the job done. If you want better performance than that then you're gonna have to dish out the cash. Dell makes good gamer laptops (XPS) so check them out. Do you have a budget?

    :eek: Hi. It depends on what you call "good" and "crap". If you are a gamer, you want whatever graphics card you have the $$ for, because modern games demand some real "horsepower". NVidia is as good as it gets. The N72G, or whatever it was you mentioned, would probably run an eye-catching screensaver nicely, and would display a spreadsheet as good as anything. It all depends on what your needs are. Good night and good luck.
