graphic card

hi i was having problems playing video files and thought it was my 6200 graphic card.i have a 5200 and put that one in and it works fine.so baught a 7600 but when i put the drivers in my pc reboots itself. i took it back to the shop and he said it was my motherboard i have a asrock k8 combo. i put my 6200 back in and when i put the drivers in it reboots itself.as anyone got any idea what is wrong.

 

Firstly does the PC boot to Safe Mode or not?

 

i have not tried it. ive just got a hiper type m 530 power supply and i have just put it in.when i put my 6200 card back in i get to the welcome screen and the pc reboots itself

 

Well can you try it. It will then tell us whether the card is at least working in standard VGA mode.

 

hi i can get into safe mode ok.i have just formated my computer and the same thing happens. i go to installs the drivers but when the screen flashes on and off mine just reboots itself.

 

In that case I'd suggest that it is trying to go into a mode that your monitor doesn't spport. Make absolutely sure that you have the correct driver installed for the card.

 

hi thanks for your help yargwel i have made sure it was the propper drivers i had my pc into a shop and he is sure it my motheboard asrock k8 combo z.i dont want to go to the expence and pay for a board that i dont need as the 6200 card was working fine in my pc for well over a year.
