I doubt if anyone will be able to help me with this but here goes!
I think I have some kind of a problem with my graphic interface. My monitor acts as though part of the screen is off of the desktop and I have not had any luck trying to fix the problem.(OS: Windows XP Pro.) At first I had problems with the taskbar. When I minamize a program it does not retreat to a button in the taskbar but just disappears. Next the whole taskbar including my systray and start button have disappeared and nothing has restored them including multiple reboots. Does anyone have specific instructions? Thank you. Jim Pfaff.
P.S. I have always had the button set in the control panel which is supposed to keep the taskbar "on top of all windows" and I also tried to set the "lock taskbar in Place" to no effect.

it seems your screen resolution is bigger than your videocard or monitor can handle; windows automatically enables "desktop scrolling" when your desktop doesn't fit, so using the mouse to the corners of the screen will scroll the desktop into view.

Try lowering the resolution. Try installing the latest drivers for your graphics card.

Tried resetting resolution back to prior setting-no effect, scrolling with mouse to adjust desktop does nothing. Downloaded driver for video card turned out to be the same one as installed so left as is!Still no taskbar, systray or start button!!

    Microsoft Antispyware is good.
You can also post this in the spyware section.

Have you tried setting the monitor defaults to factory settings? I'm talking about the monitor itself and not windows.

Without a screenshot- it's hard to say whether it's the monitor, videocard or software related.

Can you post a screenshot - ALT+PrtScn then open the program "Paint" and select "Paste" from the Edit menu. Save the file as a .jpg to make it small, and upload here.
