    Hi there,

I have an HP a6200n, AMD Athon 62x2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.60GHz, 2GB Ram and built in NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430. My monitor is an LG Flatron w2252tq.

I'm having a display issue primarily when I use programs like lightroom or photoshop. Essentially what happens is I get these faint diagonal lines in the background that look like very faint grey noise. The noise seems to become a little more pronounced when the computer is "working" on something...ie processing a command in lightroom.

Anybody ever heard of this issue?

Have you set the screen update rate to the highest possible frequencies - if not that may help.

    Thanks for your response.

For some reason, my monitor will only detect as a generic p&p monitor. When I bought it, the software was missing out of the box and the download from LG is faulty. After exchanging numerous emails with them , I gave up. The only refresh rate it allows me to set is 60htz...could that be my issue?

Yeah, that's exactly my issue with getting the software.

They work for me. Maybe try a different browser? I used firefox.

Ok. Finally managed to get the drivers for the 2252 and my system now recognizes the monitor. I still have no other options than 60htz in the refresh rate settings.

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I did manage to get my computer to recognize my monitor with correct drivers and all but it has not solved the problem of the diagonal lines of noise on my display. I see the noise most obviously on darker backgrounds and the noise becomes more prominent when I am doing something intensive like loading a picture in lightroom or photoshop. Its like the lines get worse when the computer is "thinking".

can you try with another graphic card.Maybe cos it's onboard it's not match for such high demand.
    .After all it's only 6150se.
