Graphics Card Distortion

Well basically after a few hours of having my PC on, the graphics distorts, somtimes in games sometimes whilst I'm on my desktop (Always worst whilst I'm ingame).

Somtimes when I alt-tab from CS, lots of red horizontal lines start coming from the top of the screen to the bottom now that I have reinstalled the drivers that came with my graphics card, and these get worse and worse.

My graphics card is a Radeon 9800Pro. Restarting always gets rid of these problems. At first I was using old Omega drivers that had a special OpenGL mode for Counter-Strike (I'm a CS addict) so I could get 100fps, and I don't want to use the latest Radeon Drivers because it causes really bad FPS drops in CS that many people complain about . But I never used to get these crazy distortions on my screen.

 

looks like your card is burnt out .. you might try reinstalling w/ driver cleaner pro...

you sure you weren't overclocking it? w/ radlinker?

 

Nah havn't overclocked it, I don't know how, afraid I might break something. The special open GL is just from the Omega drivers to get better FPS in CS. But my PC must be getting really hot recently, it has just been shutting down by itself in the middle of games and such, might this of causes the graphics card to burn out?
