graphics card Q

    Im buying a comp that has a Radeon x1550 graphics card, and im not sure if thats good or not >.< its 512 mb, which of course is good and all, but the Radeon x1550 im not sure if thats one of the better graphics cards out there its an x1 series so i believe its decent, would like to no if it could play a hardcore game like cod4 =P

    It was originally sold as an entry level card, with a price tag under $100 or so.

    When looking at video cards do not let the amount of memory on the card dictate how good the card is. Any crap card can have 512mb of memory on it and still be crap.

    I'll go on record as saying that is a crap card and not worth the money for gaming. It will not play COD4 at high settings. If you like playing games on LOW graphic settings then by all means buy that card. If you want to play newer games at medium to high settings then save money and buy a real gaming card.

    A good place to start if low on money would be a X1950Pro or better. (I listed an ATI card since you seem to be a ATI fan.)
