Graphics Card suggestions AOE3

Hello,
I just bought a PCI Express card.I did not know this would not fit into a PCI slot.So I have to return it.I have a AGP and PCI slots and I would like to purchase one for playing Age of Empires 3.I am a little confused about this AGP 4 AGP 8???Does any one have some input?I would like to spend 150-200.

System 2 year old Compaq
Win Xp
760 MB RAM
2.6GZghz
80g hard drive
I currently have built in INtel 865G graphics
3 pci slots
1 agp slot

It's just another slot on the motherboard, the agp 4 and 8 are both on the same slot... you could buy a video card that uses either of them. there's still plenty of agp slot video cards out there, but if you plan on purchasing a new computer within say a year, id suggest not spending that much on a video card since your next computer will most likely have a PCI-E slot.

Edit: a decent 60-90 dollar agp card will be a significant improvement over onboard graphics

I don't plan on buying a new computer soon.I hear AOE 3 is very demanding of the best graphic cards.I here a lot about Nvida 6600 or 6800.Most are pci express.I did find this one on new egg.It's a agp slot.

the one i posted is a 6600. aoe is not very demand it in the middle.
