60c for a video card is normal :) You should be fine.

I think your temps are ok as stated above. It would also depend on what the ambient temperature is. If you are concerned add a case fan or two if you have room for them. Or get a hole saw and make room for some fans. :-D

I have had problems with Nvidia mainly, but with some ATI video card drivers not kicking up the fan when the card starts getting hot. I use Riva Tuner to manually controll what % I want the fan in the GPU to run. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download737.html

I, like Bill, also "have a heavy graphics application running 24/7 with a temp of" 70C on some 8800GS cards. :-D

Thanks for all your replies I have got a small problem with my graphics card the GPU Fan keeps stop spinning causing the temperture to hit 95c. I have taken the card out and cleaned it which it wasn't really that dusty and yet it still keeps stop spinning causing the high temperture again.

    what can be causing this?

    Many Thanks

your temps are fine that is usually my temps for my gpu when im idle sometimes higher.... when gaming ive reached temps of 110C. At that temp is when you should start worrying:-D and for your other issue with fan it would probably be best to pick up another card

    hello all,

just a update I have managed to sort out my fan it had something lodged inbetween the fan and the gpu, my temp is currently at 47c the highest I have seen it go is now 52c and thats including gaming.

    Does that sound better.

Glad you got it fixed. Now, what the heck was lodged in there? And do we want to know how it got there? :-D

it was a piece of solder that broken off somewhere im not sure where from but its out of the way of the fan now and everything is good
