graphics crash in cs-s

hi there,,,,i have a problem, i have installed cs-s and have everything installed, also have new gfx card with all the latest drivers in.

i enter the game fine but as soon as im flashbanged the graphics go mental, the whole screen looks like a scottish tartan design(cant see any pic, only the pattern of lines)... my old radeon 9200 had no problems, but this 9800 pro atlantis, is giving me headaches

im using a 2.7ghz proc, 1gb ram, directx9c, ive also tried verifying gcf files, that was also done and ok,,,i have some screenshots saved in my cs main folder, but dont know how to get it on here...please, help would be appreciated

 

Are you using the the latest ATI Catalyst drivers?
I've never had an ATI card myself, but I know from experience with Nvidia cards, that the drivers can make all the difference. Experiment with different driver versions to find out which version works best with your card. I had a similar problem with one of the latest Nvidia drivers not working with NFSU2, but found that one of the earlier Nvidia driver versions worked well with it. Hope this helps.
