I had to get a new keyless remote for my car. it locks/unlocks the car. and if that car is already locked, when you hit LOCK again, the horn honks.

The brand new keyless remote does not have the same range as my previous one, I find the remote used to be highly useful in finding my car in the parking lot.

Now, I have to remember where it is and the remote beeps the horn only when I'm within 25-30 feet, which is 100ft less than it was with the older remote,(I think)
I used to be able to stand outside the store and it would beep, now I have to be pretty frickin' close

is there anyway to increase the range?

I tried smacking it on the ground, that didn't work,
I tried biting it, that didn't work
Then I got hungry and I thought you guys/gals might know?

make sure the batteries are fresh, make sure you're not touching the antenna part of the remote (if its external), raising your hand above your head helps.
