greekin hell

There is this brilliant website called Geeks,
That I visited for weeks and for weeks,
If you want problems solved,
They will all get involved,
When your computer is in need of some tweaks

And to think ,they put up with me here too. The best place to be next to pittsburg(imho).

It's not a poem... it's a limerick.

Is that a meat cleaver? Or am i just being to clever!

 

Tony came up with a rhyme.
Which didn't cost a dime.
He stuck it in the lounge.
And some people read it.

 

...and some folks expound
on the options they haven't found
in some OS that hasn't expired
and getting very tired
reinstalling the fallen soldiers
that screwed up my folders.

I know the meaning of doggerel. I can't believe you said that! I'm hurt. Pearls before swine. Well, when I'm an internationally published limerickist I'll be sure to mention that I was beaten down by the acerbic comments of those less talented than myself. :-D

Well, when I'm writing limericks that rival poems that were written in 11th century Persia, you have permission to use any lines from them as you see fit. But only here.

 

A BRAIN AT LAST

And lo the hunter of the east

Preferred this version:

Wake! For the Sun behind yon Eastern height
Has chased the Session of the Stars from Night,
And, to the field of Heav'n ascending, strikes
The Sultan's Turret with a Shaft of Light.

 

I won't get too far into Omar's Rubayyat writings, but this is one of my favourites:-

"Oh, come with old Khayyam, and leave the Wise

To talk; one thing is certain, that Life flies;

One thing is certain, and the Rest is Lies;

The Flower that once has blown forever dies."

...Or in a quasi-note from modern vernacular:- "Today is tomorrow’s yesterdays to come.”
