Grief (again).

Hi all.
I have four e-mail addresses (all hotmail)
I have grief with one of them.
My laptop is windows 10 and as I didn't like the new Live Mail I used Thunderbird, all worked well.
Until yesterday when one of my accounts refuses to log in saying I have a bad password blah blah.
I can sign in via Outlook online so I know the password is correct.
It also works with Windows 10 Mail.
On my desktop running 7 I still use Windows Live Mail.
This has also refused to log into the same e-mail account asking me for a password even though the correct password is given.
Any clues??

 

I recently had Hotmail blocked because of a suspicious device trying to connect. (It was Me) Hotmail sent an authorization code to my listed recovery email. It had to be entered in a box before I could use my regular log-in. Check your other emails inbox and spam folder too for a note from Hotmail.

 

Could this be your problem?

Imandy, don't see any emails, besides, if it was blocked by Hotmail I wouldn't be able to sign in from anywhere.
Earthling, I don't think so as I'd done all the changes some time back, also, when I click on the links to get the update it says page not available?
