Grinding when cartridge installed in HP Laserjet P1006

I have an HP Laserjet P1006. When I insert the cartridge and close the hatch, I get this really loud grinding noise. Has anyone had this problem before. I can't seem to see where the grinding comes from since the latch is closed and the problem only happens when the latch is closed.

Is this with a NEW cart?
Have you removed all the shipping materials form the cart.

I'm not familiar with that exact model, but every other model I've ever dealt with has had some clips, or strips or something that you have to remove before you put the cart into the printer.
Failure to remove those things, can seriously damage the printer.

(I used to work in an HP service center)
