grrrr stupid restarts!! how to recover files?

    ok so i was doing a paper...and for some DANG reason my pc restarted..idk why.i never told it to...maybe it was for security updates.....well now my paper is gone and i didnt save it and autosave didnt work..........


    what do i do now ..can i get it back?

    Im pretty sure you can not. a restart makes you lose all unsaved information in programs, which is why when ur comp restarts it tells you to save any unsaved information :| sorry bout ur luck :(

    If you are using Word .....it might still be there ....do a search.

    /boggle wish i knew that TimW i always restarted my papers in times like these heh, people at school tell me to "always save" cuz our comps suck but run XP for some reason :|
