   And right now i'm running it on vista but i could uninstall it from vista and install it on xp (my machine has two hdd's one with xp and another with vista).:-D

   Give the advice here a go, more so would personally go for having Windows Vista (and is it 32 or 64bit and what Service Pack?) upto date, install the latest Chipset driver "if" you have an Intel based motherboard, updated GFX Card drivers and make sure .NET 3.5 is installed.
   
   Then Install the update for the game from here
   
   
   .Net 3.5 SP1 here
